Carpe Diem !!!

Oh how i hate blogging.... almost as much as The Woman in This Poem hates her "perfect" so called life.
Bronwen Wallace does a very good job of depicting a life that so many women lived in back in the 1980's. The woman feels like her life has no real meaning, she is very unhappy with the way her life has turned out. Which she should not be due to the fact that she has a loving family a husband and two children, she has a home and a roof over her head, and shes not poor. There should be nothing to be unhappy about in this situation. "As she stands there in the middle of her spotless kitchen we can see her growing/ old." the woman is running through the same routine over and over again day by day. The spotless kitchen symbolizes the womans perfect life shes not in need of anything and shes has everything most people would want, she has just given up on herself because she feels traped. All the woman wants is to have excitement in her life, she wants adrenaline pumping through her veins, she wants to be free to spend time with her "lover" whom writes her messages weekly. This so calleed "lover" wants the woman to "come to" him "I need you" he pleads, the "woman reaches for the phone/to dial the airport" . The woman has a massive amount of internal conflict going on she cant seem to decide weather or not she is going to leave or stay. She thinks about packing her bags and leaving her husband a note and then realizes its thursday and theres a pot roast in the oven and she thinks about how sad he will be if she leaves. So she chops the onions for the pot roast when finishing she "turns toward the phone" and still all she can think of is "her daughters piano lessons" and "her sons dental appointment". The woman is a good mother she cares about her family dearly shes just not satisfied with her life. She wants to live everyday like its her last, the problem is she wants it and she cant go through with it i understand that she doesnt want to hurt anybody but if she isnt going to or willing to change her life for excitement then its her own fault for being unhappy.
